The frustrations the contemporary artist feels when having not only to paint in the studio, but to have a presence on all social media platforms, the main one still being Instagram. The logarithms which Instagram impose appear to alter frequently resulting in artists spending more and more time showcasing their work.

Artist Pauline Maddocks explains the initial expenditure of a self employed artist. Pauline’s first blog covers the progress of building a studio within her Tring garden. The reels on Instagram covering the progress of the build gained phenomenal interest, showing over five thousand reaches. Once the art studio was complete, the video had almost six thousand plays on Instagram.
